01-Feb-2022: Gheorghe has received the prestigious National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award - our lab's first federal grant! It supports early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization. This grant will support our lab's efforts to dissect the mysterious process or replication initiation in vertebrates. This project will also provide biotechnology training opportunities for high school teachers and students.
