Please join us in welcoming our new Chistol Lab Admin, Katie Field! While we are sad to see Theresa Lee go, we are fortunate to say that Theresa will continue to support the lab in the background as she introduces Katie to the role, making sure business runs as usual. We appreciate Theresa for her hard work and dedication supporting the lab's functions during these transitional periods.
We finally held our first in-person lab retreat weekend in beautiful Bodega Bay CA.
Activities included gourmet cooking, drinking, napping, hiking, card games (Exploding Kittens, Cards Against Humanity).
Unfortunately the night skies were cloudy so we didn't do much star-gazing and carried around a big telescope for no reason.
We can't wait till the next year's retreat.
This enclosure gives us precise temperature control, and provides the added benefit of blocking out stray light from the room. See the photos from installation to completion below!
We spent the day defrosting the freezer to prepare for our move to the Center for Clinical Sciences Research (CCSR) building!
Lab moments captured during summer 2020.
We received our first order of the lab's study species, Xenopus laevis!
